What a surreal moment — opening the weekend paper and seeing Felini the cat staring back at me, wrapped in a yak wool scarf and ready for another high-altitude adventure! The Pirmasenser Zeitung just ran a wonderful feature about Felini and the passion project that started with a spark of creativity and turned into a full-blown globetrotting feline phenomenon. “Horebstadt statt Hollywood” was written on the preview page…
The article dives into how Felini came to life not through AI shortcuts, but through good old-fashioned character rigging, animation, and a whole lot of heart. It feels great that the piece highlights the handcrafted soul behind Felini’s expressive eyes and silly poses — however, I did start incorporating AI workflows to help me get Felini’s antics ready for posting more quickly.
And while Felini is busy making headlines in print, he’s also busy making pawprints in the snow… because right now, our favorite digital tuxedo cat is exploring the breathtaking peaks and playful chaos of Nepal!
